These lists shows the ratings to be used in SCCA competitions for the current and following months. The criterion for inclusion in the lists is that the player has played in recent SCCA competitions or is thought to be playing in 2024/25. A player playing for more than one club will appear on more than one list (with the same ratings). Click on the club name (on the left) to see the list for a particular club.
The information shown for each player is: club, name, ECF code if available, age status if known, team for which nominated (if any), and 4 sets of standard / rapid / blitz play ratings. Estimated ratings are suffixed be 'e'.
The first 2 ratings sets give the ratings to be used for eligibility for matches in the current calendar month (blue) and the following calendar month (black). These are either the ECF A/K ratings from August 2024 (or, occasionally, a later month in which a player with no estimate acquired an ECF A/K rating) or estimated ratings approved by the Controller. The ECF eligibility ratings will remain unchanged until the season ends. The estimated eligibility ratings will also remain unchanged once the competitions start unless the player acquires an ECF A/K rating more than 150 points higher than the estimated rating, in which case the acquired rating will be used for the rest of the season (starting from the following calendar month). Changes to the eligibility ratings will be highlighted in red. Changes to these ratings will be quite infrequent.
The other 2 ratings sets are those to be used for board order and Lauder and Stoneleigh calculations in the current calendar month (blue) and the following calendar month (black). These ratings (except for estimated ratings) are those appearing on the ECF original rating list for the previous month and are the ratings shown in the results entry system. Many of these ratings will change each month. If a player with an estimated rating acquires an ECF A/K rating, the new ECF rating will be highlighted in red for the first month in which the new ECF rating applies.
Please note that ECF P ratings are to be completely ignored.
Unrated players (those without an ECF A/K rating or a Controller approved estimate) will be considered ineligible for matches.
A player is marked as J if known (or thought) to be under 18 on 1 September 2024 and a player is marked as H if eligible and willing to compete for the John Hawson Cup (over 60) competition.
Players whose names are in brackets are thought to be inactive in SCCA competitions (i.e. they have not appeared in matches in the last 2 seasons). If club officers agree that they can be removed, would they please inform webmaster@scca.co.uk
Rapid play ratings are used in the Stoneleigh and Ellery Williams competitions and standard play ratings in all other team competitions. There are no blitz competitions this season.
