The 2010 League Composition meeting decided that it would be a fairer system to alternate between home and away for each round when possible. This was further amended by the 2012 AGM in respect of first round byes
Where both teams were at home or both away or both had byes in the preceding round, then the team that came out first in the draw will be at home in the next round
Where a team with a first round bye meets, in the second round, a team who played in the first round, the venue for the bye will be treated as neutral. Thus the team with the bye will be drawn away in the second round if it is drawn against a team that was away in the first round or at home if that team had been at home
The final will, of course, be at a neutral venue
